which r better quad skates or speed skates and if u know the answer what is the best kind in each group?
not sure what you are really asking..They are both skating but different types of skating. Speed skating is just hauling butt around a rink..The skates have no ankle supports so you can take the corners faster. They also work well if you want to do session skating or rexing. Quad skates-not sure what your talking about cause speed skates also have 4 wheels. But if you are talking about your standard roller skates they are also known as artisitic skates. Those work well for most everything unless you are going to race. You can still hall butt around the rink, you can rex, session skate, dance, do figures, freestyle and loops. You can skate out doors with both types but you need to have outdoor wheels on as indoor wheels are too soft and rocks, glass metal etc will get stuck in them and ruin them. Also most rinks won't let you skate with out door wheel on cause it ruins the floor. There are several different brands that are good but it just depends on how much you want to spend. Riedell makes a good entry level skate that you can get for under $100 or upper ones that you can spend $100's of dollars on. But those are just the boots you then have to buy wheels, barings and plates. The best boot company ever is Harlick but your going to pay a lot for these ones.. But they are the best!
