If I put a subnet mask 255.255.0.0, the machine will play Nice machines other subnets?
An IP address is 198.162.75.31 and the other is 198.162.130.29. If I set the subnet mask 255.255.0.0 on both computers must be able to communicate, right? If you set it to 255.255.255.0, could not, I think. One is a PLC and the other is my team. There are other problems, but I should be able to ping the address and get an answer, to my knowledge. The heart problem is that I am an engineer and the department rather than the details of the network share. My plan is to show that the problem is not on my end, but in theirs.
The subnet mask determine if the computers will be able to communicate or not. Obviously my computer is on a different subnet from Yahoo and we are talking super!
