Nokia 6700 Classic Mobile Cell Phone

Nokia have always had a "bread and butter" phone in their line-up. A mobile phone that could be used by the casual and business user alike with a decent specification and without any unessessary fancy frills or gimmicks.

Probably the first one was the Nokia 6310i from around 7 years or more ago which was one of the first phones to feature Bluetooth wireless technology & had a great car kit too. This was then followed 2 years later by the equally popular Nokia 6230i which did everything that the 6310i did & more and included a colour display. Then, 2 years ago we were introduced to the Nokia 6300 which again filled the position beautifully.

So what comes next ?

Let me introduce you to the latest incarnation, the Nokia 6700 Classic.

With similar but much improved styling cues from the 6300, the Nokia 6700 follows the tried and trusted candy-bar design with smooth flowing lines and a flush keypad. It's light at just 116g and has a mighty impressive battery life of 5 hours talktime and 300 hours of standby time - far better than the 6300 of old. The menu is as intuitive as you would expect for this model - no need for an instruction booklet with this phone and is quick and easy to zip through via the centrally mounted 5 way navigation key

The Nokia 6700 is a GSM quad band handset and 3G enabled too so no matter where you are, you can get a signal and send & recieve data at broadband-like speeds too.

One main advantage over the 6300 is the use of a 5 megapixel camera. Quality photographs and video are now guaranteed as it has autofocus, LED flash, Flash modes, dedicated camera key and 4x digital zoom to name but a few.

Fortunately the Nokia 6700 has virtually no limitations when it comes to memory as it is expandable via microSD upto 8Gb which is more than enough for most requirements. This is particularly useful when it comes to storing your videos, photos, music and much more without impairing the speed of use of the phone. You can choose to store items to either the phone or the memory card so you remain in total control of what goes where. A full multimedia player is standard & it has an RDS FM radio installed too, so tuning into the latest news or music is a breeze.

The Nokia 6700 comes with Integrated A-GPS & Nokia maps so you can use it as a navigation device but obviously, having just a 2.2" display, it isn't going to be the greatest device in the world for this purpose.

In all, we would highly recommend the Nokia 6700 as it shows that Nokia are continuing their tradition of producing a mobile phone that suits all tastes and pockets too whilst remaining easy to use and boasting a great specification.
